PRODUCTCARE GUIDE

All of Crete Studios masterpieces are made to order in our studio with love and care. To learn about caring for your concrete lighting in your own home, we recommend the below advice:

Your Crete Studio lighting product is a one of kind. Each piece is hand made to order in our Northern Rivers workshop. Due to the unique nature and inherent characteristics of concrete, together with our manufacturing process, variations in size, shape, shade, colour and texture will occur. This is a natural feature of a concrete product, resulting in a stunning work of art that is unique to each piece. These natural variations in texture add character and are not defects and, once a piece is passed by our quality assurance process, will not have any adverse impact on the structural integrity and performance of the product.

Every effort is made to provide a true representation of our finished products, both as to colour and appearance, onour website. Unfortunately, photographs are rarely a complete substitute forthe actual product viewed through the naked eye and there may be differences. If you are seeking a specific colour or finish, we recommend that you contactus directly to discuss your needs or alternatively, purchase a full set  lighting colour samples before making anorder, to avoid surprise or disappointment.

Cleaning

Please avoid using any harsh cleaning products on your Crete studio piece, including anything abrasive, as this can affect the sealer and etch the surface. If you accidentally do use any harsh cleaning products, such as bleach, immediately flush with water on a damp cloth.

pH-neutral cleaning products are best for concrete. We recommend using warm soapy water and a clean micro-fibre cloth.

Avoid all scourers and harsh cloths on concrete, as it can result in surface scratches.

Staining

Concrete needs to be properly cared for the same as would stone and marble products. Avoid placing products in direct sunlight where possible. Placing items where they can touch external walls can create moisture build-up, and placing them too close to radiators, heaters and gas or wood fires can increase the risk of damage or discolouration.
